To ensure a great document, it's important that you're comfortable working
with your freelance or contract writer. We generally do our work at our office and interface with clients by phone, email and online chat (instant messaging).
Clients in Seattle and the greater Puget Sound can arrange personal meetings.
Preferred Tools
We use a variety of software
tools for my assignments. For documents and publications designed
for print, we typically use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher,
Adobe Acrobat and/or Adobe PageMaker. For Web sites, we will use a
text/HTML editor. We also have skills in RoboHelp, FrameMaker, and PageMaker if you need someone to work with your existing
production department (just mention that when we are scoping out your project).
We are able to do HTML hand coding, basic graphics, and basic desktop publishing if necessary. However, our aim is first and foremost to be your wordsmith, not
your programmer or artist. Depending on the specific requirements and budget for your project, we may do the work myself,
use a professionally designed Web or graphics template, or outsource these services to specialists we know and trust. We
are also happy to partner with any designer you've got on board.
How Long
Does It Take?
Writing a resume (a.k.a. résumé or résume or
c.v.) or business letter from start to finish involves analyzing
your needs and devising a "marketing" strategy, writing, desktop
publishing, revising with your assistance, supplying you with a
proof for review, making final changes, and finally delivering your
beautiful new document. Expect this process to take about a
week from start to finish. However, if you are ready to go, it is possible to complete the entire project faster. Ask about our availability to deliver documents with 24-, 48-,
or 72-hour turnaround for an additional fee.
